Francis is featured talking about his solo albums, and his recent CD and DVD: Live At St Luke's London.

Francis also treats us to excerpts performed exclusively for Rfm 104.4 London 'live' on guitar, with many well known and lesser known Francis Rossi songs interspersed throughout. In fact the show is a veritable cornucopia of material written, produced, and performed by Francis Rossi; alongside a vast catalogue of Rossi songs that have been recorded, performed, and sampled by others.

Live at St Luke's - Brand new solo CD, DVD & Blu Ray

Francis Rossi released a live solo DVD; "Live at St. Luke's, London" on 14 March 2011.

This live set is released on CD, DVD and Blu-ray formats by Edel's international rock label, earMUSIC distributed in the UK & Republic of Ireland by Absolute via Universal. As well as the full concert, the DVD and Blu-ray boast excellent bonus features. The DVD has an interview with Rossi, plus the promo video for the 'Faded Memory' single. The Blu-ray has a behind the scenes documentary, which also features interviews, plus the promo video.

Recorded in front of an enthusiastic crowd at St. Luke's church in London, this solo show was only the seventh that Rossi has ever performed."Live at St. Luke's, London" follows on the heels of the2010 studio album -- also released through Edel -- which was enthusiastically received by the rock media.Classic Rock said in their review of the St. Luke's show, "New album 'One Step At A Time' is a surprising treat. The gig is the same, only more so." Guitar & Bass added that the material, "reveals a more fragile side to the Rossi we all know -- and it's genuinely refreshing."

Long regarded as one of the finest rock performers this nation has ever produced, Rossi's songwriting has been duly recognized by the Classic Songwriter Award and the BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music [jointly with Rick Parfitt].Francis Rossi is famous for his dry wit and lyrical dash, and this live release offers a chance to get up close and personal with a musician doing what he does best: delivering great music live.

Rossi commented, "Stepping outside Quo and recording and performing these songs was a big step for me -- I love these songs so much it hurts! It was very freeing to do my own thing instead of being with a band, as I have been since I was 12!I wanted, for once, to do exactly what I wanted and, luckily, the reaction has been great. The show at St. Luke's was very atmospheric, the band and the crowd were great and I'm really proud of what we've produced".

Francis Rossi announces brand new solo album

Ear Music Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi will release his brand new solo studio album "One Step At A Time" on 3 May 2010. The album is to be released on Edel's international rock label, earMUSIC distributed in the UK & Republic of Ireland by Absolute via Universal. Francis Rossi, who was awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours List, will also undertake his first ever solo tour in May 2010.

The Status Quo frontman has long been regarded as one of the finest rock performers this nation has ever produced and his songwriting has been duly recognized by the Classic Songwriter Award and the BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music [jointly with Rick Parfitt]. This solo album will allow him to reveal another side of himself to the Rock fraternity and also to step outside the Status Quo machine and indulge himself musically.

Rossi commented, "I never stop writing songs and melodies but there have been many tracks over the years that just weren't right for Quo. These songs have been gathering dust in my mind for too long and now seems the right time to let them out into the world. It's a big step for me - I love these songs so much it hurts!"

The only previous Francis Rossi album, "King Of The Doghouse" was released 14 years ago and so the new release is long overdue. The "One Step At A Time" album is hugely entertaining set and offers an insight into another facet of Rock's great frontmen. Francis Rossi is famous for his dry wit and lyrical dash, and this album offers a chance to get up close and personal.
